BROSSA WEIRD TALES AND THE NEW MATH BLOG

In 1954 it created the CEC or Comics Code Authority, a body created a code on how comics should be in the U.S. to be considered morally acceptable. I'll save the details of the story (which can be found here ), but to give you an idea I will give an example: a comic for a long time could not display images in which a woman seduce a man, or have a black character, or graphic violence or show sympathy for a group of criminals. To 80, the CEC condemned to taste all mainstream comics that were published in the U.S. (and therefore the world): While technically not mandatory that a publishing belonged to the CCA, the big distributors are refused to work with anyone who was out (small note the margin, hence the merit of the comic underground of from 60, which had distributed alternative.) The image that you have left is the cover of Weird Tales , a pulp magazine genre before the onset of the Comic Code, as is indicated by the fact that it appears to two women tits and bald (?) . What is remarkable about the picture are the names listed as authors. Look you, among writers of middling appears a well known: HPLovecraft .

After the lecture, I come today to present the link I wanted to bring, which I removed the image illustrating this post: Absent The blog is a must for all fans of pop culture or, more generally, for anyone who believes they can no longer surprised by anything.

15.41 UPDATE: I just realized that this post is number 100 of Birds head. Readers, thanks for being there! To Mary, congratulations for putting up here!
